The Institute for National Education Testing and Assessment (INETA) was established on January 26, 2010 via a collaborative effort of the National Education Examinations Authority and the Beijing Normal University to meet the demands of education reform. The Institute is aimed at 1) attracting and integrating national and international resources and expertise to promote research regarding education assessments; 2) gathering research fundings for research; 3) promoting education assessments in China; and 4) improving the national standard of assessment.
The Institute seeks to integrate financial and human resources to expand research capacity, to provide professional training for the teachers and staff and to provide strategic and practical advice for policy-makers. It also exerts great efforts to promote educational reform and human development research and strives to be the leading research center for educational assessment in the country.
