【Call for Papers】SEED Biennial Conference Published:2019-07-22 09:57:07  Views:10

Holding HandsFamily, Childcare, and Community Efforts toSupport Child Development

Families, childcare centres, and communities create the primary social-cultural arena for young children’s development. It is crucial for parents, teachers, and other educational practitioners to achieve a sense of shared responsibility and a common vision, which can establish a strong cornerstone for the provision of quality education and care. The SEED (Study of Early Education and Development) conference theme, Holding Hands: Family, Childcare, and Community Efforts to Support Child Development, aims to shed light on the important roles of family, childcare, and community in early childhood education and development. Academics, researchers, and practitioners in early childhood education and development from around the world are warmly invited to participate in this international conference at Beijing Normal University. The conference provides an international forum for professionals to explore and exchange ideas, making joint efforts to support child development.

Paper Submission

A paper submission is an individual paper to be presented in a presentation or poster session. All papers will be placed within one of the six academic strands listed above. The minimum length should be 2000 words in English or Chinese. High-quality papers may be included in special issues for International and Chinese journals.


Please note that this Call for Papers only applies to those who plan to submit papers for a presentation or poster session. We will send another conference notice on 15 October for attendance without submission.


The first page of the paper should include the following information:

Conference Fees

Full conference fee: 1200 RMB

Full-time student: 600 RMB

Conference fees do not include the costs of travel, accommodation, or meals.
