    Profile
    Dr. Hangyin Qin is Associate Professor of Faculty of Education, Beijing Normal University of China, and project specialist and expert of UNESCO INRULED (International Research and Training Centre for Rural Education), which locates in Beijing. Current main research areas include educational policy, common values and education, and international and comparative education. She earned her doctorate from University of Hull, UK in 2003. Before joining Beijing Normal University in the early 2009, she had worked for National Institute for Educational Research of China (CNIER). She was one of the main members of a series of policy research projects, led by the Ministry of Education of China, educational equity, quality education and teacher education. She has participated a series of international activities of UNESCO, Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Asia-European Foundation (ASEF), the Asia-Pacific Network for International Education and Values Education (APNIEVE), and other international and regional organizations. Themes range from Dialogue among Civilizations and common values education, learning to live together, international understanding, EFA, and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). She published articles on educational policies and common values education. While currently working for UNESCO INRULED, it is hoped that she could do more for improving EFA in developing countries.
