Research Center for International and Comparative Education was established in 1999 and supported by the International and Comparative Education Research Institute at the Beijing Normal University (originally known as the Foreign Education Research Institute). For decades, it has been committed to exploring educational theories, providing advisory services for the national education reforms and development decision-makers, nurturing innovative professionals, and engaging actively in international cultural and educational exchange and cooperation. Up to now, it has made great contributions to the development of comparative education discipline and educational reforms in China, and has become the national key research institute with a high reputation in the field of international and comparative education both in China and internationally.
