On July 6, BNU President Zhou Zuoyu met with Australia Victorian Minister for Family and Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Ms. Jenny Mikakos, and Deputy Secretary of Department of Education and Training Ms. Katy Haire and other four members of their delegation. Assistant Dean of Faculty of Education Dr. Liu Qiang, Deputy Directors of Institute for Early Childhood Education Dr. Du Jigang and Dr. Wang Xinghua were also in attendance.

      Vice President Zhou first welcomed the delegation and reviewed the history of cooperation between BNU and universities in Australia. Assistant Dean Liu Qiang briefed the delegation on the Faculty of Education. Deputy Director Du shared his views on the development and reform of early childhood education in China in the past ten years. Minister Jenny Mikakos and Deputy Secretary Katy Haire expressed keen interests in exploring future opportunities for research and placement of staff, etc. with BNU. Both sides look forward to more future dialogues on collaboration.
