Assistant Dean Lynn Paine from MSU Visits FOE Published:2016-04-25 15:10:21  Views:10

 

On the morning of April 25, Professor Lynn Paine, Assistant Dean of College of Education, Michigan State University visited the Faculty of Education and had a discussion with Vice Dean Li Jiayong and Director Wu Haitao on future International cooperation.

Vice Dean Li and Professor Paine gave a brief introduction about each other’s institute and expressed their intentions to future collaboration on academic exchange and research projects, especially in the fields of teacher education and international comparative education, etc.

Lynn Paine is assistant dean for International Studies in the College of Education. She also is a professor of teacher education and an adjunct professor of sociology and the Center for Gender in Global Context. Her work focuses on comparative and international education and the sociology of education, with an emphasis on the relationship between educational policy and practice, the links between education and social change and issues of inequality and diversity. Much of her work has involved the comparative study of teachers, teaching and teacher education, supported by research in China, the United States and England.
