BNU’s Education Subject ranks 42th in the QS World University Rankings Published:2015-04-30 14:49:11  Views:10          The well-known university ranking institution QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) published the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2015 on April 29, 2015. Beijing Normal University’s Education subject has once again made a significant breakthrough-we rank 42th, which signifies the second time for being one of the world’s top 50 universities.

        In the QS World University Rankings, QS has four evaluation indicators: AR(Academic Reputation),ER( Employer Reputation),CPP( Citation Per Paper) and HI( H-index). BNU’s Education subject scores 80.8 in AR, 78.1 in ER, 73.8 in CPP, 63.2 in HI, and the overall score is 75.6.

Note: (1) For QS used different indicators and weight in 2012, multi-year vertical comparison can’t be done, that’s why the year of 2012 is not included;(2) The evaluation indicators’ weight in the QS World University Rankings changes every year.

        QS has published the QS World University Rankings by Subject annually since 2012. It is obvious from the rankings that BNU’s Education subject has achieved great progress in each of the four evaluation indicators. We have always kept advantages in Academic Reputation and Employer Reputation, and have made a great breakthrough in Citation Per Paper and H-index. Compared with 2013, the scores in Citation Per Paper and H-index have increased 26.8 and 20.8 points respectively.
In recent years, BNU has realized leap-forward development in Education subject construction, scientific research, team development, talent cultivation, community service and international exchange under the joint efforts of all faculty and students. The Education subject’s comparative advantage and international influence have been further consolidated and strengthened. BNU’s good news in the QS World University Rankings by Education Subject will further expand our Education subject’s influence both at home and abroad, as well as promote Faculty of Education to be “Jingshi style, China-featured and world class”.
